Kadigarh National Park covers about 344 hectares of sal forest in Bhaluka upazila, in the south of Mymensingh district. It was declared a national park in October 2010 and sits roughly a kilometre north of Kachina bazar on the Siddhastor–Sakhipur road. Paths lead under the tall sal trees, and the forest is quiet compared with the busier parks closer to Dhaka. Illegal logging by sawmills in surrounding villages is a real threat, so what you see is a forest under pressure.

How to get there

Take a Mymensingh-bound bus to Bhaluka, then a CNG toward Siddhastor and Kachina bazar; the forest starts just north of the bazar.

Good to know

Go in a group or with a local, as there are few facilities and the paths are not marked. Carry water.
