A grand 20th-century mosque with a tall minaret, one of the largest in the region.
The Hajiganj Boro Mosque, built in the first half of the 20th century, is a landmark of Chandpur district. Its large prayer halls, decorated interiors and tall minaret draw worshippers from far around, particularly on Fridays and in Ramadan. It is a strong example of the region's religious architecture of that era.
How to get there
Hajiganj is about 30–40 minutes by bus or CNG east of Chandpur town on the Cumilla road.
Good to know
Dress modestly and avoid visiting at prayer times. Women should ask locally about access.
